Legacy IBM FlashSystem (9100 Family)

IBM FlashSystem 9100

The original NVMe FlashSystem family, IBM's first array built around FlashCore Module (FCM1) media, sold as the 9110 and 9150 SFF control enclosures.

Machine type: 9848 / 9846 family (see 9110 and 9150 for specific models)

FlashSystem 9100 is the family name, not a single machine type. IBM shipped it as two SFF NVMe control enclosure models, the 9110 and the 9150, both introduced in 2018 as the first FlashSystem arrays built on IBM's original FlashCore Module (FCM1) media. If you own or are researching a 9100-family array, the exact model, 9110 or 9150, matters more than the family name for parts, support, and refresh questions.
